Cobalt drill bits are produced from M-35 High Speed Steel which contains the element Cobalt making this high speed steel heat resistant and, therefore, allowing longer life when drilling exotic materials such as Stainless Steel and other space-age alloys. All the Cobalt drill bits in this set have a split 118 degree point to minimize the drill from "walking" from the location where you wish the hole to be produced.
