Cobalt drill bits also known as Cobalt Jobbers Drills are of a heavier construction than standard Jobbers Drills. Cobalt drill bits are produced from M-35 High Speed Steel which contains the element Cobalt making this high speed steel heat resistant and, therefore, allowing longer life when drilling exotic materials such as Stainless Steel and other space-age alloys. All the Cobalt drill bits in this set have a split 135 degree point to allow easier starting when drilling a hole.
